Good work all the time
Saw their requests for assistance and Valhalla Pharmacy decided to pitch in and supply some dog food. We have a donation point in the pharmacy to drop donations like blankets and canvas etc etc

Truly compassionate rescue
We were pleasantly surprised seeing the living conditions of the animals at Osmans. Shafeena is amazing, she knows each animal by name and the history of each. We adopted two healthy animals, a cat and a dog and already cannot imagine our lives without them. Thank you, Shafeena!

Max, aka “Hercules” - Adoption
We adopted a pup from Osman Animal Rescue last year April. “Hercules” was his name, until we brought him home and named him Max. The adoption process was very professional and Shafeena and her team were so kind and helpful. Max today has filled our hearts with so much love and joy! We would definitely adopt from Osman again. Thank you for all you are doing for those animals in need. The world needs more people out there like you! 🙏❤️

Fantastic group for rescues
What a fantastic group this is. They really try and assist every abandoned, abused animal. Hats off to Shafeena for running this organization with the little bit of funding their is. Definitely a group for the animals without a voice.

From your home to ours, changing animals lives
What an amazing experience adopting our little tornado Jax (aka Scooby). I’ve been to shelters before but this blew me away. Clean, tidy, spacious enclosures for the animals. larger enclosures for exercise. The animals are impeccably groomed, healthy & in good spirits. You can tell all of them are Shafeena’s personal babies! She told us the often (horrific) history of each animal. This shows true passion and love. Doing the absolute best they can for each and every abandoned or abused animal in their care. We were given a meet and greet with our prospective baby in a seperate enclosure where he could run around and make our acquaintance. The adoption was quick, easy and very professional. We are totally in love with our boy! I highly recommend Osman animal rescue to anyone wishing to adopt or if not to assist in other ways to help make this rescue centre possible. Thank you Shafeena for everything! 🩶
A Winter’s tail
PART ONE
Little did I know that in early August this year my life would change for ever when The Osman Animal Rescue visited our school to present an informative talk to our Foundation Phase learners.
Something fluffy caught my eye – it was Winter, the beautiful kitty that Mrs Osman had rescued and homed since she was a kitten found abandoned and ill in the street.
Winter walked happily and confidently on a leash in front of the hall of excited young learners while Mrs Osman conducted her presentation. It was only when I looked closer that I noticed what made this kitty extra special was not only her engaging and bright blue eyes and Siamese fur, but that Winter only has 3 legs.

PART TWO
It was in that moment that I fell in love with this extremely brave and courageous fluffy girl. She had overcome so much in her young life, but there she was on the stage, self-assured and unperturbed by being differently abled and she strutted around like a celebrity kitty.
After the talk in the hall, I patted and stroked Winter and hearing her purr loudly that was that……………… and I knew that I wanted to adopt Winter.
Fast forward a few weeks and after the formalities of adopting Winter from The Osman Animal Shelter I became the extremely proud and happy mommy to this adorable, spirited and very brave bundle of fur and joy.

PART THREE
Having Winter in my life means more than I can express and I will always be very grateful to Mrs Shafeena Osman and her Animal Shelter for giving me the privilege and honour of adopting her.
Winter Violet as she is called by my elder daughter because of the colour of her fur in different light is the most lovable cat that I have ever known. I firmly believe that the love and trust she shows to me was initiated and nurtured by the love, affection, and care that she received from Mrs Osman and her daughter before I adopted her.
Winter is super intelligent and observant with an amazing sense of humour that keeps me entertained for hours on end.

PART FOUR
She and I have long conversations and she always seems to have the last word! At times I think she’s the boss and runs my home calling the shots and that I just live there!
Not skipping a beat, and with a sparkle of mischievousness in her blue eyes she is beyond playful and energetic. I have let her explore the inside of our house, always encouraging her to climb and try something new within the boundaries of safety. Winter does not limit herself in any way because she has 3 legs. On the contrary she is gutsy, brave, and adventurous. However, to keep her safe she is only allowed outside in the garden under close supervision while wearing her harness and is on a leash.

PART FIVE
(FINAL)
Winter is my soulmate, my constant companion and shadow wherever I am in the house, and I love her dearly. We have been told that angels have wings, but Winter is my angel with paws, a piece of heaven. She is snuggled next to me when my alarm rings early in the morning and she waits for me on my pillow at night when I switch off my bedside lamp.
I strongly encourage animal lovers to consider adopting a pet from an animal shelter instead of going to a breeder and I can recommend that people contact Mrs. Osman at the Osman Animal Rescue. You won’t ever be sorry………………….
